Meet Neal McDonough's Wife: The Inspiring Story of Ruvé McDonough

Neal McDonough and his spouse have shared more than two decades together.

Neal McDonough has played some of TV’s toughest characters, but his soft spot is his wife of over 20 years, Ruvé McDonough.

The Skill House actor famous for his parts in shows such as Band of Brothers and Desperate Housewives , has been married to Ruvé since December 2003. They have five children together.

Ruvé, who is originally from South Africa, worked in public relations before becoming a film producer, working alongside her husband on a number of projects.

Ruvé encountered Neal when he was shooting a project in the U.K.

Neal and Ruvé initially met in 2000 when the actor was working on a miniseries. Band of Brothers In the UK, at that time, Ruvé was employed as both a public relations expert and a model.

They share five children together

Throughout their marriage, the couple have welcomed five children together. Their son, Morgan, was born in November 2005, followed by their first daughter, Catherine, on May 14, 2007.

Their family continued to grow with the additions of the couple's daughters, London, on Jan. 11, 2010, and Clover on Aug. 15, 2011. Their youngest child, James, was born on March 31, 2014.

"They weren't finished until they actually held a bunch of them," McDonough's representative stated to The News Pulse at that time.

Currently, Neal and Ruvé often share updates regarding their kids and have collaborated with them as well. Back in March 2021, Ruvé along with Catherine were part of a promotional effort for the apparel label Smash + Tess.

Neal shared a photo from the shoot on Instagram, writing, "My two supermodels! I am so proud of my love, Ruvé, modeling in yet another fashion shoot! And this time joined by our oldest daughter Catherine.”

She had a significant role in Neal’s recovery from addiction.

Neal has maintained sobriety since 2016 and frequently acknowledges his wife for her support throughout his journey.

​Ruvé has produced a number of projects alongside her husband.

Collectively, they have collaborated on multiple films, one of which was released in 2022 as mentioned. Boon , 2023's The Warrant: Breaker's Law and 2024's Homestead To mark the debut of the latter , Neal and Ruvé exchanged a message on Instagram , expressing gratitude to viewers for watching the movie.
