Meet John Wick: The Shelter Dog With a 'Deeply Loving Soul' Who Has Waited 800 Days for a Home

A puppy with a distinctly recognizable name Has been quietly awaiting over 800 days for somebody to acknowledge him at a single animal shelter in Philadelphia.

John Wick — naturally, named for the canine-loving hitman played by Keanu Reeves In the popular thriller series, he has dedicated his time to observing people as they walk past him at the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), where he has been working for almost three years.

"When he was initially saved by our Animal Law Enforcement unit in February 2023, he felt quite bewildered. His existence had been fraught with instability, making it difficult for him to adapt to the routines of kennel living," stated the shelter in a Facebook post dated April 27.

“However, after more than two years, JW has only gotten better. He is an exuberant, well-mannered, and profoundly affectionate being. Those who have met him hold him in high regard. They recognize his goodness, loyalty, and ease of giving love. He is welcoming towards interacting with older children as well as other calm dogs.”

The "whole-hearted" canine is approximately five years old and has an absolute affinity for humans. his pet profile says He's an amusing "joyful" canine with a passion for learning and leans towards "laid-back" companions in his home environment.

"John Wick isn’t ready to surrender; he continues to hold onto the hope that his home is somewhere out there," according to the shelter.
