Man Charged with Armed Robbery at Kentucky Drugstore

Danville, Ky. (WKYT) — Authorities have apprehended a man from Kentucky who is now in custody for his involvement in an armed robbery in Danville.

Around 6:15 a.m. on Friday, the Danville Police Department reported that they had apprehended Alex Gibbons, aged 37, the previous evening.

The police claim that Gibbons supposedly carried out a robbery at the Bluegrass Drug Store in Danville around 8 a.m. on Thursday.

It is reported that Gibbons entered the Bluegrass Drug Store in Danville, brandished a firearm, and proceeded to steal some medicines prior to fleeing from the scene. He departed using a red Toyota without displaying license plates.

No one was hurt.

The police are grateful to the public for assisting in locating Gibbons.
