Recently, Ram Truck marked a significant production achievement. The 2 millionth "half-ton" pickup emerged from the assembly line at Stellantis' Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP). This particular vehicle is a vibrant Flame Red RHO edition, designed for rugged use. In like manner, its sibling brand Jeep Has plenty of reasons to celebrate. A Top Seller for Jeeps and Across America

"Okay, so what?" some of you might be thinking, "Jeep sells tens of thousands of these SUVs annually. Does anyone really care?" The significance lies in the fact that the 4xe isn’t just another standard utility vehicle; it’s actually a plug-in hybrid. Indeed, the Wrangler 4xe has been—and continues to be—the top-selling PHEV in America for quite some time now.
Enabling motorists to conserve substantial quantities of fuel or traverse rough terrain stealthily with near-silent operation, this ride boasts an electric drivetrain. Nestled beneath that sleek, boxy bonnet, The Wrangler 4xe comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine along with dual electric motors. These are powered by a fairly substantial 17.3-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. Together, they offer an approximate electric-only driving range of 21 miles and achieve an efficiency rating of 49 MPGe. Despite its somewhat boxy design that doesn’t seem particularly streamlined, this SUV performs reasonably well.

The quarter-millionth example of this electrified vehicle was a Willys model with a black paint job and the three-piece Freedom Top. This Wrangler also features aggressive mud-terrain tires and simple cloth-covered seats. Hopefully, this vehicle makes its new owner happy, a customer located in California.
