The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo was spotted zooming around the Nürburgring with a tiny sticker revealing its most significant secret.

Every hybrid car racing around the Nordschleife must bear a yellow sticker to signal to the track officials that they are electric-powered, and the subsequent Turbo. elfer Sports merely put a stamp on its rear window.

Upgrading the 992.2 911 Turbo with additional battery power is expected to elevate its performance above the present model’s 572 hp (and 640 hp for the Turbo S version). This enhancement will probably build upon the technology first introduced in the Carrera GTS.

The Carrera GTS from Porsche combines its 3.6-liter horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with both an electric turbocharger and an electric motor positioned within the transmission. This setup is referred to as the T-Hybrid system by Porsche. It features a compact 400-volt, 1.9 kW battery situated at the front of the vehicle; this battery charges exclusively through regenerative braking, eliminating the need for external charging via a plug. Together, these components deliver a total power output of 532 horsepower along with 449 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the GTS can accelerate seamlessly from 0 to 60 miles per hour in precisely three seconds.

The outgoing Turbo It’s just slightly faster, completing the 0-62 mph run in an officially recorded time of 2.7 seconds, which means the 2026 model should easily outpace the GTS. We would be quite surprised if it generates less than 700 horsepower in S specification.
