A homeowner from West Covina aims to raise awareness about an unsettling crime pattern that persists across much of Southern California, following the discovery of a concealed camera at his residence.

He mentions that he discovered the gadget on Friday evening.

“I simply retrieved my foot and gave it a kick to the side; it nearly slipped off the curb, but managed to stay,” stated George Nguyen. “At that moment, I recognized it as some kind of gadget or surveillance equipment.”

He mentioned that he noticed a glow while tending to the shrubs near his residence. The area was carpeted with synthetic turf and positioned among the foliage, aimed right at his house.

“I immediately felt invaded. I was at a loss for thoughts. It left me disturbed,” he stated.

This incident is merely the most recent in a series of similar events throughout Southern California. Police indicate that thieves are utilizing these cameras to understand the daily habits of homeowners, thereby determining the best time to break into their homes.
