So far, he has enacted 137 executive orders — which is more than three times the 41. Although these directives allow leaders to quickly influence policies, they tend to be highly vulnerable—readily undone by subsequent governments. This was evident early into President Joe Biden’s term when his administration faced reversals; within one day after taking office, Donald Trump signed 26 executive orders, thereby overturning 78 of Biden's initiatives.

Experts caution that Trump’s barrage of directives isn't merely due to haste; it's sparking significant worries about an abuse of presidential power. Many are concerned he might be circumventing Congress with these executive moves and, at times, disregarding Supreme Court decisions ordering him to cease certain activities.
