Funds Available for Tackling Child Poverty: Apply Now!

Financial resources have been provided for community initiatives aimed at exploring the effects of childhood poverty.
The Cornwall Council has announced that organizations can now seek grants up to £500 to develop initiatives focused on assessing the effects of this issue within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Data gathered from initiatives run by volunteer organizations and community groups will be used to shape the 2025 Director of Public Health Report for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, according to the local authority.
Groups and organizations that support infants, kids, adolescents, along with their families can contribute as well by organizing events that document genuine stories of upbringing amidst economic hardship.
'Call to action'
Dr. Eunan O'Neill, who serves as the interim public health director for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, stated: “To gain a comprehensive understanding and effectively tackle the effects of child poverty, it’s essential to include insights from children, adolescents, and families who have firsthand experiences dealing with economic hardship.”
We aim to hear about their experiences to grasp what it signifies to come of age in poverty within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
This project aims to assist leaders in making choices regarding health and well-being priorities and serve as a 'call to action' report that amplifies the voices of infants, children, and young individuals throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Applications opened on Wednesday and will conclude at noon BST on May 16th. .
