Connect with Care: 'Careers in Care' Event Aids Healthcare Job Seekers

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - The "Careers in Care" job fair was organized by OhioMeansJobs and took place between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds Civitan Building on Wednesday.

This occasion served as a chance for individuals pursuing careers in the healthcare sector to network with nearby businesses and educational institutions.

During the occasion, both employers and educators were available to address any queries from attendees and inform them about potential openings within the healthcare sector.

Erica Chidester, who manages medical programs at the Washington County Career Center, attended the event.

She describes how the event benefits individuals such as job seekers, educators, and employers alike.

...with the employers present, they can capitalize on this opportunity and discuss how participants can utilize their skills post-training from the Washington Career Center. Many of these employers also contribute towards covering educational costs. Therefore, if we manage to bring individuals through our doors and guide them toward these employers for job placements, everyone benefits.
