Bills Eyeing Trade for $31 Million NFC Edge Rusher?

The Buffalo Bills are wrapping up their 2025 NFL Draft, where they put heavy emphasis on the defensive side of the ball. And while the draft is winding down, the Bills may not be done adding new players to their depth chart.

The New York Giants selected Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick, adding him to the other side of Brian Burns and putting him next to Dexter Lawrence. However, that does leave an odd man out in New York, as former first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux is going to take a backseat to the Giants' two star pass rushers.

The Oregon product had a tremendous year in 2023, racking up 11.5 sacks. he missed five games in 2024, though, and saw his sack total decrease to just 5.5. Thibodeaux is a true pass rusher, not giving the Giants much against the run. With that said, his $9.9 million cap hit in 2025 is very modest, to say the least, and he is someone the Bills should look at acquiring if the Giants are open for business, which they appear to be. Giants general manager Joe Schoen came from Buffalo, so Brandon Beane should make the call to get the former top 10 pick to the Bills and add to their pass rush.
