On April 25, 2025, BTS's leader RM was seen at Coldplay’s performance in Seoul. Following the show, RM posted an Instagram story featuring himself alongside Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and PSY behind the scenes.

At present, RM, also known as Namjoon, is serving his mandatory time in the South Korean military. Fans who haven’t had many opportunities to see him recently were thrilled when they unexpectedly spotted BTS's RM at a concert. This joy increased even more with RM’s Instagram post showing off moments spent alongside PSY and Chris Martin, quickly becoming popular across various online platforms. One user on X commented:

Jin from BTS, Rosé from BLACKPINK, and members of TWICE took part in performing at Coldplay’s concert in Seoul.

BTS was also among the other K-pop artists who joined Coldplay’s Chris Martin on stage. Jin , BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and TWICE performed together with Chris Martin during the concert.

Kim Seokjin and Chris Martin captivated the audience during Coldplay's Seoul concert with their joint rendition of My Universe , which subsequently became a viral sensation on social media. My Universe is the BTS and Coldplay's collaborative track, which came out in September 2021.

At present, Namjoon is performing his military duties in South Korea. He was enlisted in December 2023, and he is likely to be released in June this year. The remaining members of BTS, namely Taehyung, SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook, are also enrolled in the military. They will be discharged by June this year as well.
