Bake Sale Funds Mission to Support Central Nebraska Veterans

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) — Over 160 nonprofit organizations across Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick counties are preparing for Go Big Give set for May 1.
Many of these organizations host pre-give fundraisers ahead of the big day, including the Business Coalition for Veterans (BCV).
For the seventh consecutive year, the BCV is taking part in Go Big Give, and for the fifth time, they are organizing a bake sale as an additional fundraising effort.
The event will take place on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Destiny Church, which is situated at 4306 W. Highway 30 in Grand Island.
Chef Anthony Brando, who founded the BCV, continues to seek contributions before the event. He mentioned that those interested in contributing baked goods or household items for the bake sale can deliver them to the church between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
He mentioned that this fundraising event and the Go Big Give initiative hold great significance for their organization as they enable continued support for veterans in central Nebraska.
Brando mentioned that the nonprofit assists veterans in numerous aspects, such as providing them with food, clothes, and even covering their bills, among others.
This year, we'll have several art works and crafts available for a raffle.
Whatever method I can use to raise funds for our veterans, I wish to proceed with it," Brando stated. "This is a fantastic occasion.
