New Initiative Helps Young Men Build Careers and Community in United States

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A church located on the eastern part of Indianapolis isn’t just establishing the groundwork for its new facility; it’s also fostering career growth and enhancing a feeling of community among its members.

New Direction Church is in the midst of constructing a new facility through its Nehemiah Project an effort designed to provide practical vocational training for young males.

The participants are acquiring skills in trades like drywall finishing, plumbing, and various other construction activities through their hands-on involvement in constructing the church’s new location.

The project does not end with just the construction phase; future initiatives will also include training in cosmetology, barbering, and nail technology.
