Causeacon Starts This Weekend!

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Causeacon 2025 kicks off this weekend.

Several musical groups have been confirmed for the 100th anniversary of the State Fair of West Virginia.

The pop culture convention in Raleigh County is set to be larger and more exciting than before this year, featuring numerous new activities for attendees to enjoy.

The scheduled activities feature a Squid Game event—organizers guarantee your safe return—and a Minecraft Corner equipped with a thousand Minecraft-themed blocks for constructing in reality.

Desirée Christian, one of the event's organizers, mentioned that there is still much more to come.

" Causeacon 2025 is going to be incredible. There will be plenty of new attractions as well as some favorites making a comeback. We'll have celebrity guests joining us, along with bingo events and panel discussions. It’s packed with lots of exciting offerings," explained Christian.

One of the celebrities set to attend this year is Alex Vincent, known for his role as Andy in the Child’s Play film franchise.

Christian suggests that participants should arrive ready with an ample supply of water and wear comfy footwear.
